Natural Gel

Tired of gels in fiddly packets, full of artificial flavours that are hard to digest? 🍋This natural gel mixture is the bomb – all natural ingredients, a breeze to whip up, and makes the equivalent of 6 gels (all at 30g carbs each).

  • 110 g Fresh dates pips removed
  • 120 g Agave Nectar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • Juice from 1 Lemon
◼ Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender until mixed. ◼ Scrape down side, add water if needed and mix again (make sure it is very well mixed so that the bits of date can flow through the gel flask lid) ◼ Add enough water until you get a consistency you like and is easy to squeeze out of a gel flask. ◼ Pour the whole mixture into one gel flask for a big day of training; or halve the mixture into two gel flasks and freeze one for another day. 💚Play around with the salt levels in this mix, you can increase it if you are a heavy salt sweater and don’t mind the taste in the gel. 🍊 Try orange or lime juice for a flavour variation
