What do you do with your time when not swim/bike/running?

My time is spent studying my Certificate IV in fitness, baking & cooking, walking through the national park with friends, swimming at the beach and spending time with my family.

How did you discover triathlon?

I discovered triathlons at the age of 6 when I was living in Yamba, NSW. With my parents being cyclist’s and involved in the triathlon club it made it very easy for me to participate and have ago at the sport.

What are some of the challenges you have had to overcome to reach the level you are at in triathlon?

After Canberra’s ITU race in 2015 I had a serious accident, having more then 30 stitches in my feet and a cut-up muscle in my right ankle and over the last couple of years I have had many injuries. To overcome these injuries, I had to have rehab, a lot of resting and learn how to run again properly.

What are some of your results and racing highlights so far?

2nd in the Triathlon Grand Final in Switzerland, 2019

2019 and 2020 Australian National Champion

Tell us about your training group:

My training group Race Pace has many young talented and inspiring athletes who are very supportive, encouraging and motivating to be around. Race Pace athletes are a very loyal group of people who push me to my limit and always put a smile on my face.

Do you have any lessons learnt with regards to race nutrition?

I have learnt that fuelling my body with the right foods and giving my body the nutrient’s it needs is very crucial for a good performance. By refuelling my body right I have discovered my energy levels are way better and I can last hard and intense training sessions in the day without burning out and crashing.

Do you have any tips on how to plan out meals when you have multiple training sessions?

I would definitely recommend taking the time on a Sunday afternoon to go through your week and plan the meals around the training you have to make sure your body is getting the right amount of nutrients.

What is your favourite work out music?

2000 Throwbacks

Are there any professionals that inspire you?

Gwen Jorgenson

What is your favourite session?

My favourite session of the week is Tuesday afternoon running as it is our hardest run of the week and it challenges me to push myself to my limits.
